About this programme

An intensive five-day executive programme equipping senior leaders to embed environmental, social and governance strategy into the heart of corporate decision-making.

The course develops a practical understanding of the ESG doctrine and its application, so delegates can build and implement organisation-wide ESG strategies that keep their companies competitive in a fast-moving regulatory environment — including national policies, taxonomies and accounting standards.

Day 1 establishes ESG foundations and strategic business value: the evolution of ESG, the business case, global frameworks (UN SDGs, UN Global Compact, PRI, OECD Guidelines, IFRS Sustainability Standards), and ESG leadership, culture and board oversight, closing with an ESG Readiness Assessment.

Day 2 addresses environmental sustainability and climate resilience — physical and transition risk, carbon footprint, energy, water, waste and biodiversity, circular business models and sustainable supply chains including Scope 3 emissions — with an Environmental Sustainability Action Plan.

Day 3 covers the social pillar: human rights and labour standards, diversity, equity and inclusion, human capital development, stakeholder identification and engagement, and measuring social impact through SROI and social metrics, producing a Stakeholder Engagement Strategy.

Day 4 works through governance, risk and reporting — ethical leadership and accountability, ESG and climate risk within enterprise risk management, and the reporting landscape of GRI, IFRS S1 & S2, CSRD, SASB, TCFD, King IV and King V and Integrated Reporting — culminating in an ESG Materiality Matrix.

Day 5 turns strategy into implementation: ESG vision and roadmap development, sustainable and green finance and investor expectations, AI and digital tools for ESG performance and reporting, and frameworks for monitoring and continuous improvement.

A Certificate of Completion is awarded to delegates who attend and complete the course. Registration closes 18 September 2026.
